Do-It-Yourself Botanical spray you can make for aphids
To be effective, the sprays must be applied thoroughly and directly on the aphids.
Citrus oil spray
The peels of oranges, lemons, or other citrus fruit contain limonite and linalol. Steep the peel of one or two oranges in 2 to 4 cups of boiling water for 15 minutes. Turn off the heat, but let the peels continue to steep for 24 hours. Strain out the peels and cool the resulting oil.
Garlic oil spray
Garlic contains allicin and sulfur. Soak 2 crushed garlic cloves in 1/2 cup of mineral or olive oil for 24 hours. Strain out the garlic. Add 2 tsp. of the oil, plus a few drops of dish soap, to 1 quart of water. Stir and strain again.
